Today, on August 13th, 2021, the 60th anniversary of the construction of the Berlin Wall, DORIAN BLACK is releasing the brand-new song “Berlin Is Not In Germany”.
The song addresses the special position of Berlin after the Second World War as an “island” in the GDR. The film “Berlin is in Germany” served as inspiration, in which the main character was imprisoned under unfortunate circumstances in 1989 before the fall of the Berlin Wall and was only released in 2000. He only sees any changes that have taken place in the meantime through television and experiences difficulties in gaining a foothold in society again.
“Berlin Is Not In Germany” is an up-tempo pop song, which is driven by a guitar riff and impressive brass section and climbs to a very catchy chorus.
